Easy and Healthy St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Toasties Snack for Kids

This toasted treat is quick and easy to prepare - and yummy, too! It's the perfect St. Patrick's Day breakfast or snack to support healthy energy levels, with complex carbs, protein, and a green veggie shamrock star of the show! To keep the emphasis on nutrition, try a whole grain bagel or whole grain English muffin along with natural cheddar (or vegan) cheese.
Shamrock Toasties
Ingredients:
Green pepper
Whole Grain Bagel or English Muffin
Cheddar Cheese
Instructions:
Slice a green pepper crosswise near the pointed end to get a small, three-lobed St. Patrick's Day shamrock shape. (If your pepper has four lobes, you've got a lucky clover instead!) Cut a small slice for a stem.
Toast half of the bagel or English muffin, then top it with a slice of cheese and the pepper shamrock. Place the muffin on a tray, then broil it in a toaster oven or regular oven until the cheese is melted.
